Alicia Austin
Alicia Austin is a Special Instructor who earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University with a concentration in Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. In addition to college practicum work and on-site training with Reach Therapy, Alicia worked as a Counselor at Camp HERO for the deaf and hard of hearing. Alicia is a member of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Learning Community, focusing on streamlining services in medical, educational and home for children who are deaf and hard of hearing. She also taught high flying trapeze and related circus arts for 2 summers in the Pocono Mountains at a summer camp! She has worked as a nanny for a family with 5 children over several years before starting a family of her own. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, being with her family and spending time outdoors.
